Dr. Sunil Benachigere Shivarudraiah

Sunil was born in Karnataka state, India. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in the ECE department, CIT, Gubbi, India (2014) and master’s degree in Nanotechnology from the National Institute of engineering (2016) Mysuru, India. He worked at CNRS laboratory, Strasbourg, France as an intern for a year, followed by a research assistant at VUW, Wellington, New Zealand. He then proceeded with PhD studies in HKUST, Hong Kong, and successfully defended his thesis (2021). He joined Prof Shih’s group in December 2021. His primary expertise revolves around perovskite nanomaterials, synthesis, fabrication of light-emitting diodes and solar cells.
